New I USE IT widgets

We’ve just added some new project widgets,

whose purpose is to make it easy for your users to stack your project. Clicking “I Use This” will take them to Ohloh and right into the stacking UI. They’ll be guided through the sign-up process if necessary.

All project widgets are available at: http://www.ohloh.net/projects/your_project/widgets, e.g.
http://www.ohloh.net/projects/firefox/widgets

As always, we’d love your feedback.

Edit: Some of you suggested a smaller, thumbnail-like I Use It badge. Here’s our first example of one:

    well done

  • http://www.uncommons.org dwdyer (Dan Dyer)

    Like the other widgets, these don’t display in Opera. I’m not sure if that’s something you can fix at your end or a bug in Opera.

  • http://www.insidejobs.com andy (Andy Verprauskus)

    Some of you suggested a smaller, simpler icon. We just added one, above.

  • http://opensourceexile.blogspot.com stuartyeates (Stuart Yeates)

    Very nice, thanks!

  • http://www.insidejobs.com andy (Andy Verprauskus)

    @Dan – I’ll take a look re Opera.

  • jnareb (Jakub Narębski)

    Those “I use it” widgets are nice, and I understand that they had to replace “Stack It”/”Unstack It” buttons when multiple stacks got implemented… but currently there is no way to distinguish on first glance whether I have project in one of my stacks or not.

    And what’s with different colors?

    @Jakub, re: stacks check this

  • brandon_franklin (Brandon Franklin)

    @Jakub and @dartar Yes, it would be better if it said “I USE THIS” or “USE THIS?” or something like that to make it possible to distinguish at a glance if you’ve already stacked it.

    I do like these new buttons though.
